The Artistic Director’s Message

Welcome to the Western Sydney Symphony Orchestra!

Music has a remarkable ability to bring people together. It invites us to listen, to reflect, and to share an experience that stays with us long after the final note. It is a privilege to bring that experience to our Western Sydney community.

At the heart of the WSSO is a simple belief: great orchestral music should be accessible to everyone. Through our free-admission concerts, we aim to welcome audiences of all ages, whether you are a lifelong classical music lover or discovering the orchestra for the first time.

I warmly thank The Hills Shire Council and our sponsors for helping us fulfil this vision. To our musicians, thank you for the artistry, care, and commitment you bring to every rehearsal and performance. I am equally grateful to our volunteer Management Committee, whose dedication behind the scenes makes these concerts possible.

Above all, thank you for being here. Your presence gives our work its purpose, and we are delighted to share this evening of music with you.
